Norton may be the pick of the bunch, but PC-Cillin made it a very tough fight indeed.PC-Cillin makes a good first impression with its smart, simple documentation and slick installation (it's the only one that does a complete pre-installation virus scan). It continues to impress with its speed and its excellent protection. While it couldn't clean viruses within zip files, it did manage to detect them, as well as all the others, and it always provided clear options when dealing with viruses. Its Scan Wizard is a delight to use.Like Norton, PC-Cillin provides a quarantine area for isolating suspicious files. Quarantined files may be cleaned, deleted or sent to Trend Virus Hospital for analysis and data recovery.PC-Cillin provides good Internet support, watching ActiveX and Java applets and providing site filtering as well. Trend Micro provides weekly, easy-to-use updates for the virus pattern files and regular program updates. The company provides great Web-based personal support for the product.This is an excellent product. Norton's ability to disinfect files within zips gives it a slight edge, but PC-Cillin is superb value.
